I'm a Midwestern farm girl turned migrant. Blend up a love for people, a sense of adventure, and a conviction to tell tales, and you’ve got yourself a writer who will run to the top of a mountain to get the story. That’s me.

My body of work includes stories on just about everything – from skiing in the untouched mountains of Kyrgyzstan to Chilean national fùtbol champs to a guide on pooping in the woods.

After leaving the family farm to attend the University of Missouri School of Journalism, I've rambled across the world reporting, from Santa Fe to Manhattan to Uganda. And my love for running has come in handy while putting in those miles.

I began my career writing and editing at publications such as Outside, Rolling Stone, Vice Sports, Munchies, Men's Health, Men’s JournalMen’s Fitness, and New York Magazine

When not putting my name behind the byline, I've spent time in front of the lens – doing still and video on-camera work with Jimmy Kimmel Live, Nike, Columbia Sportswear, OPI, and Camp 4 Collective. I've also appeared on several television and radio talk shows.
